They charged $200 dollars for what was supposed to be a very detailed inspection. Since it was very expensive the owner was nice and gave us a discount, since they don’t apply the price of inspection to fix it. They said the problem was a solenoid and we decided to fix it, since we didn’t want to spend more money to have it inspected somewhere else. Replacing the solenoid would cost $400 dollars more. When we came back they said the problem wasn’t solved after replacing the part. We complained how we would be short $150 on inspection plus $400 and not have our problem solved after being promised it would. The owner said he wasn’t going to charge for the part. After bringing up how unkind the woman at the counter was, she came out from the back room and started screaming at us. We were called names, disrespected, and told to leave after our keys were thrown at us. My husband came back to the shop after being yelled at to pay them $200 for the part since he thought it was the right thing to do. We ultimately spent $350 for a horrible experience and nothing fixed. To have the expectation set up that the inspection might not find the problem and the part replaced also may not fix the problem would have helped us choose somewhere else. I guess it is common nowadays for car shops not to find the actual car problem since they make so much money just on inspection of the car whether they find what is wrong or not.
